1. What is White Balance?
- Balancing light within a photograph
- A way to get the images as accurate as the eye sees them
2. Why is it important to set your white balance?
- Different sources of light will produce different colors
- Temperatures are based on the Kelvin scale
- Fluorescent light = a Blue/Green (cool colors)
- Tungsten + Incandescent light = a Yellow/Orange (warm colors)
3. Explain how to set a custom white balance?
- Change the White Balance to "custom"
- Use manual mode and manual focus to take a properly lit photo of something white
- Fill the frame with white and ignore the result
- Under menu, find the custom White Balance setting + SET photo
