What is aperture?

• The amount of light that enters through the lens.
• The amount of light variates
• Aperture controls the depth of Field

How aperture works technically (in camera) and visually (in photo)?

• Technically: Aperture changes the size of the camera lens opening
• Visually: The bigger the opening of the lens creates a shallow depth of field, and the smaller the opening of the lens creates a larger depth of field
• A smaller depth of field is blur or select focus
• A larger depth of field shows clarity from foreground to background
• The smaller the "f" number, the bigger the opening 
• The bigger the "f" number, the smaller the opening      

What happens to the exposure triangle when you change aperture?

• The IOS was kept consistent throughout the project  
• When changing the aperture, the shutter speed needs to be balanced 
• The more light entering through the lens, the faster the shutter speed
• The less light entering through the lens, the slower the shutter speed
